Covid death nil for 24th straight day, new cases 22

Bangladesh has reported zero death from coronavirus along with 22 new cases of the viral disease in the last 24 hours until Saturday morning.
With no new Covid-19 death reported for the 24th straight day, the total fatalities from the pandemic remained same at 29,127.
With the latest numbers released by the directorate general of health services (DGHS), the overall caseload now stands at 1,952,979 and the entire infection rate was 13.91 per cent till Saturday morning.
The latest number of 22 new cases came from medical screening of a total of 3,965 samples across the country through 879 labs and infection rate was 0.55 per cent.
During the same period, another 220 people recovered from the viral disease across the country taking the total number of recoveries to 1,899,150.
The latest figures put the recovery rate at 97.24 per cent and the mortality rate at 1.49 per cent.
