Monday, 6 October 2014

A group of cattle traders leaving Dhaka city after selling their cows at Gabtoli cattle market, were mugged and injured by miscreants on Eid day. Two traders were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), one of them with serious injuries inflicted on him by the muggers as he refused to hand them over the booty. The cattle traders were going to Kushtia along with the money they earned by selling their cows, said DMCH police outpost ASI Haider Ali. As their vehicle reahced near a sand field the muggers attacked them and mercilessly beat them before mugging their belongings including money and mobile phones, said the police officer, quoting truck driver 'Murad' as saying. Murad picked the two injured cow traders up in his truck and carried them to the DMCH around 9:40pm, according to a news agency.
