Cox’s Bazar, Chattogram road crashes kill five

COX’S BAZAR, Sept 12 (UNB): Three people were killed and four others injured when a covered van hit a human hauler on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway near Inani Resort in Chakaria upazila on Wednesday.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Nure Alam, in-charge of Siringa Highway police camp, said the accident took place around 11:30 am.
In Chattogram, at least two people were killed while another one was injured in a head-on collision between two covered vans on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Mirsarai upazila early Wednesday.
One of the deceased was identified as Kabir Hossain, 40, a driver of a covered van while the identity of other could not be known yet.
Inspector Rabiul Azam Robin of Mirsarai Fire Service and Civil Defence said the accident took place around 3:30 am when two covered vans collided head-on, leaving two dead on the spot.
A man identified as Goutam was injured in the accident and taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
