Cox's Bazar, Pirojpur road accidents kill four

A total of four persons were killed in separate road accidents in Cox's Bazar and Pirojpur districts on Thursday, reports UNB.
In Cox's Bazar, two people died and four others were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a covered van in Chakaria upazila of Cox's Bazar district on Thursday.
The incident happened when a Dhaka-bound bus of Eagle Paribahan from Cox's Bazar collided with the covered van coming from the opposite direction around 10 am on Thursday in the upazila's Harbang area.
Chakaria Police Station Officer-in-Charge Sheikh Mohammad Ali confirmed the matter.
The injured were sent to the Upazila Health Complex for treatment. Among the injured, two are in critical condition. The identities of the dead and injured could not be ascertained.
In Pirojpur, two people died and one other was injured when they lost control of their motorcycle and hit an electric pole at Baraibunia of Nazirpur upazila of Pirojpur district on Thursday morning.
The deceased were identified as Md Sadhin Sheikh, 16, of Hoglabunia village, and Rahmat Sheikh of Baniyari village. The injured is Tanjim Sheikh of Tarabunia village. All of them are from Nazirpur upazila.
