CPB-BSD Teesta March from Apr 17

The alliance of Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) and Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (BSD) will launch a three-day Long March towards Teesta Barrage on April 17 demanding equitable share of waters of 54 common rivers, including the Teesta, flowing from India. The leaders of the two-party alliance, known as CPB-BSD Left Alliance, said the long march codenamed ‘Teesta March’ will start from the city following a brief rally in front of the National Press Club on April 17. The long march will reach Dilla area of the Teesta Barrage via Tongi-Gazipur-Sirajganj-Bogra-Rangpur in the afternoon of April 19 where a grand rally will be held. The CPB-BSD Alliance leaders said they have planned to hold rallies at different points of major cities in their journey to the Teesta Barrage area, according to a news agency.
