Two left leaning parties-Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) and Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (BSD) - Saturday vowed to resist the government's 'plot' to raise prices of gas and electricity at any cost, reports UNB.
The two left parties held rallies and staged demonstrations across the country Saturday protesting the government move to raise prices of power and gas.
They announced that they will hold a protest rally in front of the National Press Club Monday.
"The present government has no responsibility to the people of the country. It has taken aggressive position against the interest of the people as it assumed state power without the support of the people", said the leaders in the rallies Saturday, said a press release.
They urged the countrymen to form resistance committee in districts and upazilas to resist the conspiracy.
