FE Report
The leaders of Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) and Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (BSD) urged the government on Friday to resolve the current political deadlock politically.
They said if the ongoing political impasse is not resolved politically, then there will be a disaster on public life and it will put risks on the democratic and constitutional continuity.
They called upon the people to be united to get rid of such a situation.
Their observations came at a programme titled 'Save the Country' held in front of National Press Club on the day.
General Secretary of CPB Dhaka unit committee comrade Dr Sajedul Haque Rubel moderated the programme.
General Secretary of CPB comrade Syed Abu Jafar Ahmed, central committee member of BSD comrade Bazlur Rasheed Feroz, among others, attended the programme.
General Secretary of BSD comrade Khalequzzaman said the people of the country are now helpless due to greedy power politics by the bourgeois political parties.
He suggested an alternative political force to break the present political deadlock.
The leftists will observe a mass sit-in programme on February 6 next across the country.
