CPB, SPB to stage nationwide demo tomorrow

Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) and Socialist Party of Bangladesh (SPB) announced on Wednesday a nationwide demonstration programme for tomorrow (Friday) to realise their five-point demands including steps to resolve the ongoing political deadlock.
On behalf of the two left-leaning political parties, CPB President Mujahidul Islam Selim, General Secretary Syed Abu Jafar Ahmed and SPB General Secretary Khalequzzaman made the announcement in this connection through a joint statement.
Their demands also include ensuring fundamental democratic rights, immediate end to ongoing bombing and arson attacks, ensuring safety for the people and banning Jamaat-Shibir politics.
They called upon the country's people to take part at the gatherings and conferences across the country on the day to realise the demands.
