CPC leader meets Khaleda

Visiting central member of Communist Party of China (CPC) Lu Hao has said Chinese government sees late President Ziaur Rahman and Khaleda Zia with great importance, reports UNB.
The Chinese leader leading an eight-member delegation of CPC met with BNP Chief Khaleda at her Gulshan office Saturday evening and recalled the role of Ziaur Rahman in building up an excellent bilateral relation between Bangladesh and China.
BNP Vice-chairman Shamser Mobin Chowdhury, after the meeting, told newsmen that Khaleda Zia told Lu Hao that the people of Bangladesh were respectful to the contribution of China to the development efforts of Bangladesh.
She reiterated Bangladesh and her party's support to one China policy, Mr Chowdhury added.
Lu Hao, also general secretary of CPC of Guangzhou, invited Khaleda Zia to visit the Chinese city. She accepted the invitation.
BNP Secretary General Khandaker Delwar Hossain, Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Lt Gen (Retd) Mahbubur Rahman, Reaz Rahman and Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir were present at the meeting.
