CPD donates Tk 0.2m for Palestinians in Gaza

The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) expressed Sunday sympathy and solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza.
A team of CPD led by its Executive Director Prof Mustafizur Rahman called on Palestinian Ambassador in Bangladesh Shaher Mohammad in the capital  on the day and handed over a check of Tk 0.2 million for the besieged Palestinian people in Gaza.
Distinguished fellow of CPD Dr Debapriya Bhattacharya, additional research director Dr Khondaker Golam Moazzem and Deputy Head of the mission Yousef SY Ramadan, among others, were present.   
The staffs of CPD contributed their two days' salaries to the fund for Palestinian people.
The Palestinian Ambassador conveyed his thanks on behalf of the State of Palestine for all the support and sympathies received in Bangladesh.
He noted that the casualties of the violence unleashed by Israel is taking its toll mostly on civilians particularly the women and children.
