Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) will launch Least Developed Countries Report 2014 prepared by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) tomorrow (Thursday) at 11.00 am at the CIRDAP Auditorium in the city. UNCTAD’s LDC Reports are annual publications which highlight the state of economic development in the LDCs, and opportunities and challenges of these countries. CPD has been organising the launching events of UNCTAD LDC Reports in Bangladesh since 2006. The LDC 2014 Report subtitled Growth with Structural Transformation: A Post-2015 Development Agenda examines the linkages between structural transformation, economic growth and human development. CPD will present the highlights of the Report before the print, electronic and broadcast media. The presentation will also include a particular section on Bangladesh, according to a statement.
