CRAB holds AGM

The third annual general meeting (AGM) of Credit Rating Agency of Bangladesh (CRAB) Limited was held at a city hotel recently.
CRAB Chairman M Syeduzzaman presided over the meeting.
Also present on the occasion were CRAB Vice Chairman Md Matiul Islam directors, advisers, rating committee members and Managing Director Masihur Rahman.
Speaking on the occasion, M Syeduzzaman said the opportunity for credit rating in Bangladesh has increased in recent times, with banks, non-banking financial institutions, insurance companies and corporate and large borrowers of banks requiring rating service.
The meeting was also informed that the CRAB achieved commendable growth in business in 2006.
M Syeduzzaman, AKM Rafiqul Islam, Mir Mustafizur Rahman and Abu Zafar Humayun were re-elected as the directors of the CRAB board.
