Crackdown on NE insurgents to continue: Dipu

The government will continue its crackdown on all the northeast (NE) insurgent groups which had operated from Bangladesh during previous regimes, says former foreign minister Dr Dipu Moni. “These operations are continuous as evident from the Rapid Action Battalion's recovery of a huge quantity of weapons at Satcherri near the border with Tripura,” said Dipu who now heads the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs. Dipu Moni said this on the sidelines of the Tripura Conclave in Agartala on Wednesday evening, reports TripuraInfoWay news, according to a news agency.
