Crackdown on unfit vehicles from Nov 10

The government is all set to launch a crackdown on vehicles without fitness clearance and drivers having no driving licence from November 10. The Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges has also decided to start a drive against fraud, ‘middlemen’ and harassment of service seekers at all Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) offices. The decisions were taken at a meeting on road safety, transport and other issues at the BRTA headquarters in Dhaka on Sunday, according to a news agency.
