Create social awareness to prevent corruption : DG ACC

RANGPUR, May 25 (BSS): Director General (Inquiry & Investigation) of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Ziauddin Ahmed Sunday called for creating social awareness involving common people, including young generations, to prevent corruption.
"Prevention of corruption is not possible only through creation of law, but we should have a social movement to reduce corruption," he said adding that the ACC has been constantly working on eradicating corruption from every sphere of society.
The ACC Director General, also an Additional Secretary of the government, said this while exchanging views with the members of District Corruption Prevention Committee (DCPC) at the Circuit House conference room in the city.
Deputy Director of the Combined District Office of ACC Kamrul Ahsan, Vice-presidents of the DCPC SM Rezaul Islam Suja and Dr Nasima Akhter, its General Secretary and valiant freedom fighter Akbar Hossain addressed the meeting.
Members of DCPC Khademul Islam Bosunia, Banomali Paul, Dr Samorpita Ghosh Tanya, advocate Zakia Sultana Choiti, senior journalist Abu Taleb, senior reporter of BSS Mamun Islam spoke on the occasion.
