Creating mass awareness against Eve teasing emphasised

Speakers at a human chain Tuesday stressed the need for creating mass awareness and raising united voice against Eve teasing.
They also called upon the people to resist Eve teasers in the society strongly as they were going beyond control day by day.
Not only Eve teasing shatters the victims physically but also cripples them mentally and later often it leads the girls to commit suicide, they added.
Kishoreganj Zila Chhatra Oikya Parishad (KZCOP) in Dhaka organised the human chain at the foot of Aparajeo Bangla on the Dhaka University (DU) campus.
They underscored the need for enactment of stern law against Eve teasing and giving exemplary punishment to the Eve teasers to get rid of this evil from the society.
Among others, KZCOP president Md Mahiuddin, General Secretary Abdullah Khan, Rashedul Mahmud Rasel and Shahidullah Shahnur spoke at the programme.
