Cricket on the moon

Friday, 27 February 2015

The batting blitzkrieg from West Indies batsmen Gayle and Samuels, was like a game of cricket being played on the moon's surface, as gravity is lower it made it scoring runs easier with amazing leaps (fours) and bounds (sixes).
Whichever team we may support, we have enjoyed every bit of the match between the West Indies and Zimbabwe in the 2015 World Cup cricket. The West Indies (372/2) bounced back strongly after losing against Ireland.
Batting by Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels was sensational.
Gayle scored a WC record of 215, with 10 fours and 16 sixes, while Samuels was not far behind and scored a ton  with 11 fours and 3 sixes. While watching the game, I wondered if it was being played on the surface of the moon!
