Cricketer Shahadat, his wife sued over torturing housemaid

A case was filed against Bangladesh National Cricket Team player Shahadat Hossain and his wife Nitto Shahadat over torturing their housemaid early Monday, reports UNB.
A journalist named Mojammel Hossain filed the case with Mirpur Model Police Station in the city under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act 2000.
Shangkar, sub-inspector of Mirpur Model Police Station, confirmed the incident.
Earlier, locals spotted Mahfuza Akhter Happy, 11, the housemaid of Shahadat's residence, on a road in the Journalists Residential Area in Pallabi of the city.
