Crockery trader robbed of Tk6.4m in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, June 13 (UNB): Muggers took away Tk 6.4 million (64 lakh) from a crockery trader stabbing his brother-in-law at Jhilpara in Gobindaganj upazila on Friday night.
Officer-in-charge of Gobindaganj Police Station Jahidul Islam said a gang of muggers intercepted Kamal Hossain, a cookery trader, and snatched a bag containing Tk 64 lakh from him when he along with his brother-in-law and some friends was going to his house at about 10:00pm. When Liton, Kamal's brother-in-law, tried to resist the muggers, they stabbed him, leaving him critically injured. Police arrested three people-Manik, Pervez and Murad-on suspicion in connection with the mugging on Saturday morning.
