'Crossfire' and human rights
Tuesday, 1 September 2009
For a few years, till the trend of 'crossfire' or 'encounter' started to demolish terrorism and crimes from the country, the human rights associations are crying for the human rights of those criminals who randomly killed the innocents and looted their property. But, do not we know that once those criminals were arrested, their godfathers would take bail for them and send them to safe house? So, we should not show mercy in the name of human rights, rather give applause to the law enforcers for their brave service to the country.
The criminals may be physically human, but we know, these are monsters from deep inside and therefore must be eliminated from civilized society. We should keep faith in our law enforcer agencies that they will not harass any innocent people and move only against the criminals. The law enforcers should be above showing personal hatred to anyone when using their special power. Moreover, our high officials including MPs and ministers should be strictly resisted when they intervene in favour of the criminals. Thus we can hope for a country with less crime.
