CrPc to be amended

The government is going to bring some modifications in the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPc) in a bid to accelerate trial proceedings. "The trial duration would be fixed in the CrPc so that the proceedings did not get trapped into backlog for years," Law Minister Shafique Ahmed said while speaking at a views-exchange meeting on amendment to the CrPc 1908.
