CSBIB holds training on Islamic banking

Central Shariah Board for Islamic Banks of Bangladesh (CSBIB) organised a six-day training on 'Shariah Compliance in Islamic Banking Operations' in the city recently.
Executives and officers from the Bangladesh Bank and commercial banks participated in the training course.
It was the 18th training course organised so far by CSBIB, according to a press release.
Secretary General of CSBIB Md Mukhlesur Rahman presided over the closing and certificate awarding ceremony Thursday.
BH Harun MP, member of the parliamentary committee on religious affairs and vice chairman of Premier Bank Ltd, attended the function as the chief guest and distributed certificates among the participants.
Prof Maulana Md Salahuddin, Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, Qazi Abdur Razzak, executive vice president of The Premier Bank Ltd, and Shamshad Begum, principal of Dhaka Bank Training Institute, were present as special guests on the occasion.
