CSE launches next gen trading software

Our CorrespondentCHITTAGONG, October 20: Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has launched next generation trading software to facilitate investors to trade from their houses or offices without going to brokerage house. CSE president Fakhar Uddin Ali Ahmed formally inaugurated the software system at a function at its office at Agrabad in the city today. The function was addressed by CSE vice presidents Maruf Matin and Tarek Kamal. CSE president said, Through the speedy software called NGT the bourse has ensured better service to the investors. It is a great moment for the CSE as it has facilitated the investors to trade from their house or office and the investors will be able to take the facility through mobile phones, Ali Ahmed said. "The NGT has surveillance software to check any kind of manipulation in the trading," he said. The system has been developed by Millennium IT (MIT) and Polaris at the cost of Tk 400 million. Meanwhile the retail investors demonstrated in front of the CSE this afternoon to protest against forced sale of shares by brokerage houses and merchant banks. Police did not allow them to enter into the CSE office. Later a team of investors under the banner of Investors Forum of Chittagong met with the bourse chief to ventilate their grievances.
