CSE organises climate disclosure training prog

Chittagong Stock Exchange Ltd. (CSE) has organized a two days' Climate Disclosure Training Program over digital platform-Zoom, for the issuers and other stakeholders in collaboration with the United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative (UN SSE), International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Climate Disclosure Standards Board (CDSB) on September 14, 2021 and September 29, 2021. Tuesday was the first day of the program.
CSE's Managing Director Mr. Mamun-Ur-Rashid in his welcome speech thanked UN SSE, IFC and CDSB for organizing such an important and timely training programs for the stakeholders. He said that the participants will be benefited much from this training programs. Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) recognizes that it can play a crucial role in advancing sustainability in capital markets and effectively contributing to achieve the overall objectives of the Bangladesh Government's Development Plan by creating an investment climate that is capable to attract funds and encourage sustainable investments. CSE has become the 62nd Partner Exchange of the United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) Initiative and the first Bangladeshi Stock Exchange to join this global partnership on January 31, 2017 as part of a global effort to promote sustainability of performance and transparency in capital markets. By joining this initiative, CSE aspires to lead the path for a more sustainable future by boosting market confidence in Bangladesh Capital Market and actively contributing to national priorities to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
