CSE to reduce charge on bulk trade

The country's port city bourse has decided to reduce commission charged on bulk trade of Tk 5.0 million and above, officials said.
As per the decision taken by the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), 0.006 per cent will be charged as commission on bulk trade of Tk 5.0 million and above executed through exchange's 'Bulk Window'.
The CSE's latest decision regarding commission on bulk transaction will come into effect from May 2 next.
According to CSE officials, presently 0.018 per cent commission is charged on trade worth up to Tk 50 million, whereas 0.015 per cent and 0.013 per cent commission are charged on trade value of above Tk 50 million and up to Tk 100 million respectively.
A top CSE official said they have reduced the rate of commission on bulk trade in an effort to enhance trade volume in the port city bourse.
The CSE presently witnesses daily turnover ranging between around Tk 350 million to Tk 420 million per day.
