CHITTAGONG, Feb 2 (BSS): Awami League (AL) leaders here Sunday demanded punishment to BNP leader Khaleda Zia for her alleged involvement in the sensational 10-truck arms haul in 2004.

General Secretary of the Chittagong city unit of AL AZM Nasir Uddin read out the written statement at the press conference.
AZM Nasir Uddin alleged that the then Prime Minister Khaleda Zia remained silent when the former Director General of Director General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI) Sadik Hasan Rumi instantly informed her of the arms cache.
"The silence indicates that Begum Zia was pre-informed and it happened under her directives " , he added.
Nasir also said 'Hawa Bhaban' and BNP leader Tarek Zia were the masterminds behind the arms smuggling incident.
He also demanded punishment to all concerned who are now out of touch.
