Ctg BTTB revenue office lacks adequate facilities

CHITTAGONG, July 20: Bangladesh Telephone and Telegraph Board (BTTB) Chittagong contributed a record amount of revenue amounting to Tk 1.43 billion in the recently concluded 2006-2007 fiscal, This is Tk 110 million more than that of the previous one, the BTTB, Chittagong sources said.
According to the sources, despite earing such a healthy amount of revenue, infrastructural facilities available at the revenue building based at Agrabad area in the port city are quite inadequate to ensure working atmosphare there.
The 3-storied revenue building is comprised with nine rooms only. Of them, two rooms are allotted for the officials while important works related to accounts department are done in other rooms amid limited infrastructural facilities, sources added.
