Ctg Customs Bond mobilises record revenue

Chittagong Customs Bond Commisionerate, Regional Office, has mobilised a record revenue of Tk 1.31 billion during the period of January, 2010 to April, 2010.
The office was given a revenue target of Tk 801.6 million from January to April this year and the target was achieved due to positive response from 49 companies under the division and concerted efforts of the officials as well.
More companies will pay taxes after the settlement of cases, it is hoped.
Sources concerned said a strong motivational campaign led by Dr Md Motiur Rahman, Additional Commissioner of Ctg Customs Bond Regional Office helped the office attain such a success.
Prior to Mr Rahman's joining, the revenue target worth Tk 1.51 billion from July 2009 to January 2010 was not achieved, sources added.
