This ramp will take off from the front of Peninsula Hotel."
Named after the late mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury, the expressway is designed to connect the Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport, Bangabandhu Tunnel, Patenga, Chattogram port, EPZ, and Agrabad areas to the centre of the city.
The 16.5 km elevated expressway will be a 16.5-metre wide four-lane facility, between Lalkhan Bazar and the airport.
The ramps at Tigerpass, Agrabad, Barik Building, Nimtala Biswa Road, Customs Area, CEPZ, Karnaphuli EPZ, Katghar and at sea-beach and airport intersections.
Project Director (PD) and Executive Engineer of CDA Engineer Mahfuzur Rahman said that the project team's intention is to complete the construction of all the ramps by June 2025.
