Ctg fire guts 200 thatched houses

CHITTAGONG, Feb 19: More than two hundred thatched houses in three colonies in the city's Bakolia areas were gutted in a fire on Monday.
The fire originated from the faulty electric lines in one of the colonies
in Meahkhan Nagar area under Bakolia police station at around 5.00 am
and spread quickly to adjacent areas. The fire fighters doused the flame after two hours' frantic efforts.
The damage caused by the fire was estimated at around Tk 2.00 million.
