CHITTAGONG, July 28: Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) Chittagong branch organised a day-long seminar on 'Increasing productivity to face economic challenges' at a local hotel recently with its President Zahir Uddin Ahmad in the chair.

Commerce Secretary Feroz Ahmad attended the seminar as the chief guest while ICMAB Chittagong branch Council Chairman Saifur Rahman Mazumder, Md Rafiqul Alam and Delwar Hussain, among others, addressed the seminar.

The commerce secretary, in his address, said the seminar is a most appropriate and time-befitting theme for the present time as the entrepreneurs and exporters of the country are facing critical challenges both at home and abroad in the context of the global economic unrest associated with the unusual price hike of basic inputs like fuel, power, fertiliser and food items.
