Ctg laptop show begins May 6

The 6th Chittagong Laptop Fair showcasing brand new laptops of world-renowned brands begins at the port city on May 6, officials said.
Maker Communication will organise the three-day fair sponsored by the country's leading telecom company Grameenphone at Chittagong Gymnasium. The main theme of the fair is 'Light up the technological light.'
Laptops of world-renowned brands -- HP, Compaq, Samsung, Dell, Fujitsu, Hasee, Gigabyte, Asus, Lenovo, Toshiba, Acer, MSI, BenQ and Apple -- and a range of other latest products of the companies will be in the fair, event coordinator Sultan Mahmood said at a press conference Monday at a city hotel.
Tk 10 has been fixed as entry fee for visitors to the fair, which would remain open every day from 10:30am to 8:00pm. "Half of the sales proceed will be spent on education of deprived children," Mr Mahmood said.
"There will be some special offers, including discounts by participating companies for the customers. Raffle draw, cultural programme and quiz competition will also be held in the fair," Aman Ashraf Faiz, said head of communication channels of Grameenphone.
Sydur Rahman, sales and marketing manager of Samsung, said his company will put up for sale some attractive and latest laptops at an affordable price.
