Ctg mobile court realises fine from traders for formaline use

CHITTAGONG, Oct 30: The mobile court of the district administration realised fine of Tk 50 thousand from the traders involved in selling formaline-mixed fishes and fruits recently in Bahadder Haat area in the city.
The mobile court seized fishes preserved in the wholesale depots of fishes and fruits in Welmart Super Fruits Store at Bahadder Haat as those were mixed with formaline. The seized fishes and fruits were destroyed and fine was realised from the concerned sellers.
Chemists of the Department of Environment assisted in detecting formaline.
Sources said the mobile court campaign will continue.
