Ctg MSC take on Top Sports Noakhali in PCL opener

Chittagong Mohammedan Sporting Club will face Top Sports Noakhali in the inaugural match of the Port City League T20 Cricket Bashundhara Cup schedule to begin from March 26 in Sharjah Stadium, Sharjah, reports BSS.
Dhaka Sports Club will take on Bangladesh Biman in the second match on the inaugural day.
A PCL organizing committee arranged a press conference at a local hotel in Chittagong on Saturday to provide all the details of the meet. PCL co-chairman Alhaj Ali Abbas spoke on behalf of the organizers.
Chittagong District Sports Association general secretary Hafizur Rahman, division sports association joint secretary Aminul Islam, freedom fighter Abul Kashem, among others, were present at the press meet.
Leading ICC officials, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials and some members of parliament of Bangladesh will be present on the opening day.
Country's leading singer Momtaz is expected to thrill the thousands of Bangladeshis in Sharjah Stadium with her live song concert in between the breaks.
The opening day programmes also include massive fireworks and flag hoisting.
A total of eight teams including one from India, split into two groups, will participate in the tournament. The champions will be richer by U$ one lakh dollars while the runners-up will get U$ 30.000 dollars. Besides, there will be cash award for man of the match and man of the series.
Private television satellite channel ATN Bangla will be beaming live all the matches from Sarjah Stadium.
A big budget of around Taka seven crore would be needed to host desert cricket extravanza and the budget will be made public to ensure transparency this was announced by Ali Abbas.
The tournament logo will be unveiled today (Sunday) at Hotel Sheraton in the city.

Group A – Chittagong Mohammedan SC, Chittagong Brothers Union Club, Chittagong Tigers and Top Sports Noakhali
Group B – Dhaka Sports Club, Pirates of Chittagong, Bangla Tigers, India and Bangladesh Biman.
