Ctg police nab two with 85,000 Yaba tablets

CHITTAGONG, Jan 14 (BSS): Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested two people and seized 85,000 pieces of contraband Yaba tablets from City Gate area under Akbar Shah thana in the port city early Sunday.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of DB Humayon Kabir said based on a secret information, a team of DB police intercepted a fish-laden truck in City Gate area under Akbar Shah thana around 4.30 am and arrested truck driver Ehsan Uddin and his assistant Rahmat Ullah with the contraband drugs.
Police also seized the truck that was coming from Teknaf upazila of Cox's bazaar district.
A case has been filed in this connection.
