Ctg port continues its operation during Eid holidays

CHATTOGRAM, May 16: Operational activities at the Chittagong sea port continued under special arrangement during the four-day Eid-ul-Fitr holidays on May 13-16.
Omar Faruk, secretary of Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) said, "Chittagong port remained open on the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. The operational activities of the Chittagong sea port had remained closed from 8:00am to 4:00pm on Eid day only. On the other days, the port ran full time under special arrangement."
Holy Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of Muslims, was observed in the port city on May 14 amidst much enthusiasm and the main Eid congregation was held at Jamiatul Falah Mosque at 7:30am on the Eid day maintaining health rules.
The port city wore a deserted look during the Eid holidays.
