Ctg\\\'s rail link with Dhaka, Syleht snapped

Chittagong's rail communications with Dhaka and Sylhet have remained suspended since Thursday morning following derailment of an inter-city passenger train in Mirsarai Upazila of Chittagong district. Five compartments of Dhaka-bound ‘Mohanogor Express’ train veered off the railway tracks near Chingki Astana at 8:15am, halting train movement in Chittagong-Dhaka, Chittagong-Sylhet and Chittagong-Feni routes. A relief train has reportedly left Laksham for Mirsarai to remove the derailed and damaged compartments of Mohanogor Express from the tracks, an Bangladesh Railway (Eastern Zone) said, according to private TV channels.
