CU announces budget

CHITTAGONG, July 03: Chittagong University (CU) announced its budget for the 2007-2008 academic year yesterday. CU Acting Registrar Md Zahurul Islam placed the budget of around Tk 680 Million in the 19th annual Senate session held at the Administrative Building of the university.
CU Vice-Chancellor M. Badiul Alam presided over the senate meeting and delivered his formal address. Later, Acting Registrar presented the budget and highlighted different aspects including different development activities and proposals for the expenditures on the concerned heads.
Government allocation was earmarked to be the major portion of income in the proposed budget, govt is to provide around Tk 600 million this year.
