CHITTAGONG, May 16 (UNB): All classes and exams of Chittagong University (CU) scheduled for today were suspended amid tension after attack on two CU shuttle trains by BCL activists in the morning. Proctor Aktar Hossain said all classes and examinations scheduled to be held Monday were suspended for an indefinite period as examinees could not come to the campus by shuttle trains which stopped carrying students to CU from city after BCL attack on CU-bound trains at Jhautala and at Bottola in the morning. Fresh date for exams suspended today will be fixed later, he said. Earlier, a number of CU buses came under BCL attacks on Saturday, the first day of resumption of classes after a 12-day suspension. BCL activists have been agitating on the campus for the last few months demanding resignation of the vice chancellor and release of their activists, including CU unit BCL leader Mamun.
