CHITTAGONG, Apr 17: The University of Chittagong formed a probe committee today on the killing of CU student Asaduzzaman.
The four-member committee headed by Md Al Amin, professor of the department of forestry and environmental science, has been asked to submit its findings within 15 days, officials said.
The decision came after an emergency meeting of the CU Syndicate chaired by vice chancellor Abu Yusuf at his office in the morning.
Probe committee reports on the killing of two other CU students over the last five months are yet to be made public, an administration official said.
Meanwhile, all classes and examinations at the CU will remain suspended for three days from Saturday following the murder of Asad, a second year student of accounting.
All shuttle trains plying between Chittagong city and the university campus have also been suspended for three days.
