Monday, 23 June 2014

Chittagong University (CU) goes on an early summer vacation for 45 days on Tuesday. All classes will remain closed from June 24 to August 7 during the vacation that also includes Ramadan, Shab-e-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr, said deputy registrar Farhad Hossain Khan. He, however, said the administrative activities will remain open. The university was scheduled to go on the summer vacation on June 28 as per the academic calendar. However, the authorities from an emergency meeting on Monday announced the holiday from Tuesday as two groups of Bangladesh Chhatra League had been on a collision course on the campus since Monday morning, according to a news agency.
