CU reopens today

CHITTAGONG, May 13 (bdnews24.com): Classes and examinations at Chittagong University (CU) resumes today (Saturday) after an unscheduled 12-day closure.
The syndicate at an emergency meeting on May 1, suspended all classes and examinations from May 2 following clashes between the university's shuttle train-based student groups on April 29-30.
Acting proctor Mohammad Aktar Hossain told the news agency Friday that students must carry their identity cards while on the campus.
As per the decision, one teacher and two policemen will be on board each compartment to keep an eye on the students, he said.
