CU teachers go on work abstention for pay scale

Teachers of Chittagong University (CU) like country's all other public university teachers went on work abstention today demanding a separate pay scale.
Teachers of the university began the three-hour abstention from 10am. They also held a sit-in programme at the office of CU Teachers Association (CUTA), BSS reported.
Later, they organized a protest meeting with CUTA President Dr Md Abul Mansur while its General Secretary Dr Quazi SM Khasrul Alam Quddusi conducted it.
Dr Md Abul Mansur Chowdhury, Prof Dr Deb Proshad Paul, Prof Dr Abdul Gafur, Prof Dr Mohammad Shah, Prof Zakir Hossain and Prof Dr Md Towhid Hossain, among others, addressed the meeting.
