CU team meets PM

CHITTAGONG, Nov 15: A delegation of Chittagong University teachers and syndicate members today called on the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office in the capital city.
The team headed by vice chancellor of the university Professor Anwarul Azim Arif apprised the PM about the overall situation including the development schemes undertaken by the CU authority.
The VC requested the PM to take steps for construction of a teachers-students centre, enhance boggy facilities for the City-University shuttle trains, project to raise standard of higher education and renovation of the railway line.
He also invited the Prime Minister to pay a visit to the university at a suitable time. The VC was accompanied by CU Syndicate member Professor Abdul Mannan and teacher of Bangla Department Professor Souren Biswas.
