Farmer Abu Saleh of Sarabaria village under Atghoria upazila said, "I have cultivated cucumber on one bigha of my land and got 12 maunds of production worth about Tk 11,600."
Less production cost compared to other crops is one of the main reasons behind the crop's popularity among growers, sources said.
Deputy Director of Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) Bibhuti Bhusion Sarkar said the farmers were provided with adequate seeds and training to achieve the production target.    motiarfe@gmail.com
