Spanish Ambassador in Bangladesh Luis Tejada said that the government was very eager to sign draft agreement sent by Bangladesh, and hoped there would be a favourable response soon, reports BSS.
The Spanish envoy in his response said: "Bangladesh is a very creative country and it is developing fast in all areas."
The envoy said this when he called on Cultural Minister Asaduzzaman Noor at the latter's office in the city Thursday.
During the meeting, Asaduzzaman Noor said that Bangladesh had 39 cultural agreements with as many countries and that a draft for a similar agreement with Spain had been sent through the foreign ministry to the government of Spain.
"We will appreciate a quick response," the Minister told the ambassador. "It will further reinforce the prevailing good relation between the two countries," he added.
