Cultural exchange deal signed with Beijing

Bangladesh and China on Wednesday signed an agreement to expand cultural ties between the two countries. Cultural Affairs Secretary Dr Ranjit Kumar Biswas and Chinese Ambassador in Dhaka Li Jun signed the deal at the Cultural Affairs Ministry. Senior officials of the Cultural Affairs Ministry and Chinese Embassy were present. The agreement will create opportunities for exchanging cultural programmes between Bangladesh and China. Li Jun said Dhaka and Beijing are working sincerely on a number of fields, including cultural exchange. He hoped that peoples of the two countries would be able to know each other better that helps strengthen people-to-people contact, according to UNB.
