Cultural programme marking Nabanna Utsab begins at DU

Eminent Language Movement activist Ahmed Shafique inaugurated a cultural programme at the Charukala (Fine Arts Faculty) at Dhaka University on Saturday morning as part of the day-long Nabanna Utsab. The Nabanna Utsab (harvest festival) is celebrated across the country on the first day of Agrahayan of Bangla calendar that falls on November 15. The colourful cultural programme, which began at 7:00am at the Arts Institute, is part of a festival programmes to celebrate the day at the DU campus, according to private TV channel.
