Cultures to be cultivated for intellectual dev: BAU VC

Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) Vice-Chancellor Md Akhtar Hossain stressed the need for congenial academic atmosphere on the campus to improve understanding and appreciation of art, literature and cultures for cultivating intellectual development of the students.

The BAU vice-chancellor said this while speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the Extra-curricular Activities in Veterinary Science (ECAVET) of the Faculty of Veterinary Science of the university at its Microbiology Gallery in Mymensingh recently, said a press release.

Chaired by ECAVET President Mahbub Mostofa, the inaugural session was attended, among others, by head of Parasitology department Md Motahar Hussain Mondal as the special guest, eminent professor Md Munsurul Amin, Dr Emdadul Haque Chowdhury, MA Hannan and Afrina Mushtari.
