Cumilla, Jashore road accidents kill four

Five persons were killed in separate road accidents in Cumilla, Jashore and Jhenaidah districts on Tuesday, report agency.
In Cumilla, a covered van driver and his helper, both siblings, died after their vehicle was hit from behind by another covered van in Chauddagram upazila of Cumilla early Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as driver Md Sagar and helper Belal Hossain, residents of the Jhenaihat area of Rajarhat Police Station of Kurigram.
According to police and fire service, the Dhaka-bound covered van (Jhinaidah - Ch:M 11-2678) had broken down and was stationary on the road. While attempting to push-start the vehicle, another covered van (Dhaka:M) collided with the rear of the broken-down van, trapping the driver and assistant between the two vehicles.
In Jashore, two people were killed as a covered van crushed them on the Jashore-Benapole Highway early Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Nasiruddin, 62, a retired college teacher hailed from Gatipara village under Benapole Port Thana, and Ali Bax, 66, a night guard of a local NGO.
In Jhenaidah, a driver of a locally-made vehicle Alam-sadhu was killed in a collision between a truck and his Alam-sadhu in Sadar upazila here on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Asadul, 35, hailed from Jugirgopha village
under Gangni upazila of Meherpur district. He was heading to Faridpur loading fishes on his vehicle.
